Mounting Instructions for a LED Module System

time2011/01/10

One of the most common places to find LED modules is the supermarket. The refrigerated and frozen food compartments use these modules to cause the light emitting diodes in the system to produce light. This light enables shoppers to locate their grocery products. Typical home use includes garden paths, showcases and decorative lighting such as pendant lighting. Other uses include flashlights and even tube or rope lights used on the bottom of vehicles for decoration.
Instructions
Center the mounting plates over the location of the power source. Secure them with the proper screw depending on where you mount them. Be certain to hit something solid.
Cover any holes with NSF approved tape. Insert the body of the LED module in the mounting plate one end at a time. Installed properly, the module won't slide down.
Feed the wires through the hole below the mounting plates. Snap the rest of the module into the mounting plate. Seal all the holes with NSF approved tape.
Cut lengths of wire that reach from the module to the power driver. Strip both ends of the wires and the ends of the wires coming from the modules.
Insert the ends of the positive wires and the cut wire lengths into a wire nut. Twist the wire nuts in a clockwise direction until it is tight. Repeat this with the negative wires.
Strip the ends of the wires coming from the power driver. Pull the wires from the modules over to the power driver and connect them with wire nuts as well. Wrap the wire nuts with electrical tape.
Mount the power driver in the desired location. Connect the wires coming from the other end of the power driver to the desired light switch.
